Our goals are to address barriers to specific resources that are experienced by diverse populations and to increase knowledge about cultural humility in nursing school chapters by organizing and providing educational webinars, toolkits, and support systems. Our committee hosts guest speakers, develops educational webinars, and organizes outreach events to enhance health awareness and engagement. The committee offers resolution-writing workshops to help students draft, refine, and submit resolutions that can be presented at the state and national levels. In addition, the committee promotes legislative involvement through programs such as the Nursing Students in Sacramento Internship, offered in partnership with ANA/C, where nursing students shadow nurses experienced in legislative practice and observe the work of lawmakers firsthand. Our mission is to equip students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to advocate for the nursing profession and the communities we serve.
