This August, the California State Senate will vote on Assembly Bill AB 890.
If this passes, this would allow California Nurse Practitioners to:

• Prescribe medications without a co-signing physician*
• Order diagnostic testing without physician oversight*
• Open their own practices

*After 3-6 years of experience being supervised by attending or on-call physicians.
