Position Goals: By Kelly Bowker
1. I want to have at least 20 applicants to NSSI and make sure the internship and RN lobby days is a success in and of itself. I will advise and appreciate other schools of the board to insert the flier in there newsletters as well. Also I will contact my committee and as a team organize volunteers for RN lobby days. It is a very hectic couple of days, but I will be organized and prepared for success.
2. I want to have all resolutions that are sent to me completed properly and verified by myself and the resolutions committee. I will promptly answer all emails inquiring about resolution format. I will ask for help and verification when needed on rules and regulations of resolutions. I will also be in contact with the committee and filling and organizing all resolutions for convention.
3. I want to keep updates about current legislation on the CNSA website.
I will be reading and summarizing all pertinent information regarding the emails I receive. I will give input when I student perspective is needed. I will post the information in a timely manner and hope to have numerous legislation updates.
Resolutions
A resolution is a formal statement of an issue or expression of an opinion that is put before an organization for discussion and debate by an individual, a committee, or group.
Resolutions are presented to the CNSA House of Delegates each year and, when adopted, become the basis for policies, priorities, and actions of CNSA. Resolutions should fall within the purposes and functions stated in substantive resolution deals with the basic principles and policies of the association, while a courtesy resolution gives recognition to an individual or group or a commemorative resolution highlights an event that is relative to nursing and/or health care. Please download the CNSA Resolutions Handbook for further details.
