CNSA Fundraising Event

Nurses Night at Ball Park, May 11 TH, 2010 @ AT&T Park 7:15 PM, 18$ per ticket!

Giants Vs Padres

As a tradition, the California Nursing Students Association (CNSA) celebrates Nurse’s Night event by going to AT&T Pac Ball Park and watching the San Francisco Giants Baseball Team and being one with the rest of the nurses and students in celebration for our wonderful profession.

Summer, is a good time for students to attend a community event, meet different nurses, students from other nursing schools and unwind at the same time and do some networking!

Help us make this event successful by celebrating Nurse’s week in the month of May. National Nurses week is being held May 6-12 Th in commemoration of Florence Nightingales birthday. As part of our annual fundraising event, all the proceedings will be going towards our CNSA scholarship.

Please, contact me at cocrnorth@cnsa.org for any questions or clarifications in regards to this fundraising event! We need your support and help to make it a successful fundraising event.

Thank You!

Steps to becoming an official cnsa chapter

2009-2010 CoCR Co-Chair North Position Goals

Goal # 1: Local Chapter Focus

Plan: In conjunction with the CNSA board objectives, contact will be made with each chapter to ensure that they have received the most recent information. The main focus will be on:

  1. Evaluating the current state of Northern Chapters
  2. Develop a stronger coalition among the current Northern network
  3. Implement a more efficient method to communicate and receive feedback from chapters
  4. Guide and assist local chapters with any issues that they may encounter
  5. Communicate the messages of the CNSA BOD in a succinct and timely manner.

Goal # 2: Increase membership and involvement of local CNSA chapters

Plan: Identify eligible schools which have no CNSA chapter in place. Upon compiling a list of these schools, outreach efforts will be made to the CNSA members of those schools to help in initiating new chapter development. For CNSA chapters that are in place, efforts will be invested to increase the level of involvement amongst their members. This will be accomplished by:

  1. Engaging strong chapters to participate in the development of new sites.
  2. Conducting reviews of the current chapters and providing constructive feedback to improve their program.
  3. Establishing a Nurse’s Appreciation night to encourage involvement and to function as a fundraising mechanism.

Goal # 3: Support and encourage State Board Projects and Goal Achievement

Plan: CoCR Co-Chair will make regular contact with the CNSA BOD offices to discuss progress of projects and goals in an effort to:

  1. Offer assistance, support and encouragement to fellow members of the CNSA BOD
  2. Relay and communicate the feedback provided by and to local chapters to ensure that they are included and informed regarding CNSA board position goals
  3. Maintain open communication between fellow board members so that there is continuity in the message relayed to the local chapters.
  4. Improve methods of communication to increase the efficiency with which messages are transmitted to local chapters.

Goal # 4: CNSA local chapter involvement at the NSNA Convention

Plan: To inform and encourage CNSA local chapter members to attend and participate at the NSNA Convention. This support will be provided by:

  1. Sending out frequent e-mail blasts to encourage participation in the NSNA Convention.
  2. Provide sample budgets to local chapters to demonstrate that it is fiscally possible to send their members to the NSNA Convention.
  3. Contact each CNSA local chapters president individually to enquire if they will be attending the NSNA Convention and if they require any additional advice or support.
