CNSA Legislative Director 2012 - 2013
April Lembi
San Diego State University
Graduation Date: December 2013
I've always been interested in the idea of working with people and making a difference each day I go to work . After researching possible career choices, I finally narrowed it down to nursing. I really appreciate how hands on nursing is and how we can see the effects of our care in the health of our patients. Now, after three semesters of clinicals I am extremely grateful of my decision and I have tried to make the most of all the patient experiences I have had thus far. I have not yet decided which type of nursing I would like to go into, I am keeping an open mind and want to begin my career somewhere where I can continue to learn, practice, and perfect my skills and abilities as a nurse. I have grown to be increasingly more passionate about nursing and I want to continually attempt to better myself as a nurse, including furthering my education by going back to school after receiving my Bachelor of Science. In my free time, I like to be outdoors making the most of my day. My favorite activities are running, cycling, swimming, rock climbing, and basically anything else that involves being active.
I am honored to serve as Legislative Director and I will do my best to fill this position. One of my main goals is to increase awareness of all the legislative opportunities available to all of you. I encourage many of you to attend political events in your areas, write a resolution on an issue you are passionate about, and apply to the Nursing Students in Sacramento Internship opportunity. Thank you!
