CNSA Convention Director 2012 - 2013

Grossmont College
Graduation Date:  December 2013

I moved to San Diego ten years ago, after growing up in the Bay Area. I become an Ocean Lifeguard/EMT and met my future husband in the process. Lifeguarding on the beach was my first exposure to the medical field and having the opportunity to really help others. I was hooked.

After a few years I decided to go back to school and get my bachelor’s degree in Media Arts. I was propelled by my love of design and desire to run my own web and graphic design business. Realizing I missed the medical field, and with the support of my husband, I decided to pursue nursing.

At Grosmont College, I am President of our CNSA club. I currently teach EMT skills to EMT students. I plan to become an ER nurse, while also gaining trauma and ICU experience so that I can eventually be a Flight Nurse. My husband rescues people for a living, and my goal is to someday be able to do the same.

Traveling is my all-time favorite thing to do. I love being submersed in new towns and cultures. I also like baking and cooking, watching Jeopardy, and hanging out with my husband. When I have any free time, I like to walk, hike, and run.
